A visit by a group of seniors to a grade 5/6 class is documented. The multi-cultural experience gives the young people an opportunity to practice their listening and questioning skills in a realistic social environment. Newly acquired skills promote an easy flow of information and communication between the generations. Curiosity and imagination are stimulated, resulting in enlightened, positive perceptions of the elderly and of different ethnic groups.
